Frederick W. Bender III

Frederick William Bender III, age 66, of Norwalk, passed away Friday morning, November 26, 2021 at Lorain Mercy Hospital.
He was born December 14, 1954 in Lakewood, OH and was a 1974 graduate of Avon Lake High School. He enjoyed working on cars, watching NASCAR, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He spent all of his Saturdays attended the speedways at Sandusky, Lorain and Fremont. He retired after 17 years with Thor Sports racing in 2018.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Rita (Weisenberger) Bender of Norwalk; stepsons, Steven Pridemore of Norwalk and Jeffery Allen Pridemore of Wellington; mother, Ruth Kochenower of Avon Lake; siblings, Richard (Cynthia) Bender of Lakewood, Glenn (Jody) Bender of Atlanta, GA and David (Laurie Ann) Bender of Mundelein, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick W. Bender II.
There will be no visitation and private interment will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
