John L. Frank

John L Frank, age 95, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday evening, October 13, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born November 9, 1925 in Cleveland to the late Arthur and Mary Drucillian (Rapp) Frank. He worked at the former Norwalk Paper Box and later Boxboard Packaging in Norwalk as a diemaker, supervisor, plant manager, salesman and retired in the 1990’s as President of the Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family and following his grandchildren’s sports and activities. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and served as a eucharistic minister, head usher, lecturer, and volunteer. He was a past president of the St. Paul Boosters and past president of the Norwalk Lions Club. He served on the board for Services for Aging and was an active bowler and golfer. He was also involved with the Norwalk Knights of Columbus Council 626 and Fr. Stephen Baden 4th Degree.
He is survived by his children, Jeanne Hammon of Berea, Susan Donohue of Amherst, Richard (Deborah) Frank of Stow, Carol (Melvin) Smith of Norwalk, James (Kathy) Frank of Norwalk and John (Teresa) Frank of Norwalk; grandchildren, Krista, Timothy, Aron, Lynn, Kelly, Eric, Todd, Dylan, Devon, Derek, Andrew, Adam, Ambrosia, Abigail, Bradley, Ryan and Michael; 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Louise (Frank) Lampe; nieces and nephews; and his sister-in-law, Carol Frank.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Margaret M. (Kilbane) Frank in 2019; sons-in-law, Timothy Hammon and David Donohue; and a great-grandson, Carter Smith; siblings, Paul Frank, Marjorie Hoban, Ellen Gruber, Charles Frank, Joseph Frank and Thomas Frank.
Friends may call Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, October 22, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at St. Paul Cemetery.
