Debora Hayes

Debora Marleen Hayes, age 70, of Monroeville and formerly Greenville, PA, passed away Monday evening, October 4, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born August 25, 1951, in Conneaut, OH to the late Clyde Robert Stuckey and Mary Jane (Davis) Stuckey. She attended Harbor Creek High School and in 1969 graduated from Conneaut High School. She attended Spencer Hospital School of Nursing in Meadville, PA and was a Registered Nurse for many years in Greenville, PA and Venice, FL. She enjoyed spending time outdoors walking the path to her backyard and looking for rocks in the river, walking nature trails, all seasons walking about in nature. She moved to Monroeville four years ago after meeting Will Hayes in 2016. She supported the work of AA while attending meetings with her husband, Will. She loved the Lord her savior and enjoyed attending church services, helping people, and was known as a caring and loving person. She volunteered at When Pigs Fly in Norwalk and made stained glass artwork

She is survived by her husband, Willard Hayes; daughter, Mary “Cindy” F. Young; son, Russel Nagel; and her step-children, Tracy Nash and Doug Nash; grandchildren, Justice Henry, Hanna Henry, Autumn Nagel and Madison Nagel; step-grandchildren, Tanner Nash, Shelby Nash and Reed Nash; brothers, Robert (Cathy) Stuckey of TN, James (Denise) Stuckey of FL and Bill (Ann) Englewood of FL; sister, Jennifer (Jon) Olsen of FL; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father, Clyde in 1953 and her mother, Mary in 1967; husbands, David Stephens, and Owen Schaller; and a brother in infancy, Mark.

A gathering of family will be held to celebrate the life of Debora and her ashes will be scattered at her favorite place on the river. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

Debbie, I wasn’t sure what to say the first time I opened your passing announcement. I know wish I should have come to see you more each year than none in the last 10 years. I am so sorry and look so forward to hugging Jesus and praising him for clearing my sins away. Then I will run to find you and Mom and Dad and Mark. Thanks for your testimony here on earth. You set a great example. Love you sis. As you always called me Billy

We are so sad to hear of Deb's passing. She was such a good friend and we spent a lot of good times with her. Her kindness and compassion were unwavering in all situations. May God comfort you and surround you with his presence.
