Peggy Joyce (Cress) Chappelear

Peggy J Chappelear, age 65, of Norwalk went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour Monday, July 19, 2021 at Kingston of Vermilion with her family by her side.

Peggy was born November 29, 1955 in Bristol Virginia. The daughter of Clarence and Wilma (Nolan) Cress of Virginia. Peggy was a 1974 graduate of Huron High School. Following graduation, she worked and traveled. In 1978 she settled back in Norwalk and worked at Fanny Farmer’s where she met her lifelong partner, Robert Chappelear. They recently celebrated 40 years of marriage last September. Peggy was a loyal member of Church of Lorain G. M. from 1981. In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brothers Larry Cress and
Clarence Cress.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her siblings, Brenda (Cress) and Don Bartlett, James Ronnie Cress, Diania Fulton and Lindsey and Maria Cress; children Jill Chappelear, Hope (John) Chappelear, Matthew (Krystal) Chappelear, Jonathan (Tiffany) Chappelear, Hannah (Cory) Cassinova and Kristen Chappelear; 15 Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Church at Lorain G.M., 741 Broadway Avenue, Lorain, OH. Friends and Family are asked to enter in the rear of the building.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
