Robert Webb

Robert Edward Webb, age 73, of Norwalk, went to be with the Lord Monday, June 21, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center.
He was born December 31, 1947 in Youngstown to the late Walter E. Webb Jr. and Betty L. (Brush) Webb. He was a 1965 graduate of Youngstown Boardman High School and attended Youngstown State University and the University of Maryland’s European Division, while he served over seas in England for four years. He served in the US Air Force and became Staff Sargant during the Vietnam war, while stationed in England. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was a member of the Milan Friends Church.
He was a Senior Account Manager for Al Lerner’s business, MBNA Bank Card Services. He was also a district manager for Combined Insurance for nearly 25 years. He enjoyed oil painting and was an avid fan of The Ohio State University and Cleveland sports. He also wrote poetry and was a member of the Sacrament World of Poetry, where he won the prestigious Golden Poet Award in 1985 and 1986.
He is survived by his children, James R. Webb, Jason A. Webb, Tanya (Greg) Kennedy and Jaime Handy; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister, Judith (Dave) Nelson; brother, John Webb; sister-in-law, Carolyn (John) Rhodes; mother-in-law, Alla Mae Leedy; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Evelyn J. Webb; and stepson, Thomas E. Newyear.
A private graveside service will be held at McPherson Cemetery in Clyde. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
