Renee Zubler

Renee Adele Zubler, age 45, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center.

She was born May 5, 1976 in Norwalk and was a 1995 graduate of Norwalk High School. She attended Firelands BGSU and graduated Lorain County Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences as a Surgical Technician. She worked at the Cleveland Clinic and was the Emergency Room Supervisor at Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, where she worked for 19 years. She was an active member of St. Peter Lutheran Church serving on church council, nominations committee, fellowship committee, alter duty, bells ringer and staff support. She taught Sunday school and jay-walker classes. She especially enjoyed playing basketball with her daughter, walking prayer labyrinths and parks, and watching her pet birds. Renee was known to help and serve people daily and will be missed greatly.

She is survived by her husband, David P. Zubler whom she started dating in 1995; daughter, Brittany Katherine Zubler of Norwalk; mother, Nancy J. (Griffith) Zimmerman of Fremont and father, Burt W. Zimmerman of Norwalk; siblings, Robert (Kimberly) Zimmerman of North Tonawanda, NY and Randal (Rachel Malave) Zimmerman of Fremont; and brothers-in-law, Thomas (Victoria) Zubler and Jason (Kelli) Goodall; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bert Zimmerman and Evelyn Chaffee; and maternal grandparents, Betty and Ollie Griffith.

Friends may call Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, and also Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 243 Benedict Avenue, Norwalk with Pastor Ann Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
