Carol Lee Kern

Today, March 18, 2021, Carol Lee Kern (Scheuerman) went home to the Lord, surrounded by her loving family. She lived a long, full life with her husband of 70 years who passed March 8, 2016.
She was born in Oak Harbor, OH on October 27, 1924, where she lived with her parents Bernard and Hazel Scheuerman (Brunkhorst) and a sister, Mary Gahris.
Carol moved to Cleveland, OH after graduation where she met her husband after WWII. They lived in Cleveland for five years before moving to the family farm on Zenobia Road in Norwalk, Ohio.
They have five children, Thomas (Dorothy) Kern of Fremont, Michael (Kathi) Kern of Fremont, James (Donna) Kern of Clyde, Margaret (Jim) Kern-Herner of Norwalk, and Christopher (Rose) Kern of Norwalk.
After their children were raised, Carol and Roy moved to Florida where they owned and operated property in Treasure Island, Florida.
After a long retirement, they came home to Norwalk, OH and enjoyed 13 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. They deeply grieved the loss of their grandson, Craig Morse in 2008.
She loved traveling, gardening, reading, flowers, birds, and spending time with her loving family.
She was a wonderful, loving, and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed a long life of 96 years and will be surely missed by all that knew her gentle, kind spirit.
Friends may call Sunday, March 21, 2021, from 12:00 until 2:00 at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street. A graveside service and burial will follow at Hartland Ridge Cemetery, Collins OH.
