Charles H. Kocher

Charles H Kocher, age 92, of Milan, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at his residence.

He was born September 7, 1928 in Norwalk to the late Albert and Antoinette Kocher. He was a graduate of St. Paul High School and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, Norwalk VFW and Sandusky Am Vets. He served in the US Army as a Tank Commander in Germany for two years during the Korean Conflict and worked at New Departure Hyatt in Sandusky for 41 years, retiring in 1988. He was a lifetime farmer and enjoyed working with his brother Roy.

He is survived by his son, Mark (Tonya Lewis) Kocher of Milan; grandchildren, Heather, Gabe and Noah; sister, Theresa (John) Hofacker of Norwalk; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife, Patricia (Adelman) Kocher; son, David Kocher; his siblings, Rita Fulton, Mary Kocher, Virginia Missler, Roy Kocher, Robert “Sarge” Kocher Sr. and Howard Kocher in infancy.

Friends may call on Thursday, March 18, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 19, 2021 at 1:30 P.M. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 130 S. Main Street, Milan. Burial will follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
