Tammy Schnee

Tammy R Schnee, age 56, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Monday, February 1, 2021, at Fisher Titus Hospital in Norwalk. She was born November 11, 1964, in Norwalk to James and Alice (Atherton) Leber. She was a 1983 graduate of Edison High School. She served Jehovah as a member of the Norwalk Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, baptized December 6, 1980. She married Roger Schnee on March 29, 1997. Together they raised 5 (step) daughters. She worked as a Cycle Count Technician at Freudenberg (Milan).

Tammy will be remembered as a loving and selflessly devoted wife; a supportive, nurturing, and ever-present (step) mom; a fun-loving grandma who was always ready with a craft or new adventure; a kind and encouraging big sister; hard-working and warm-hearted daughter; a spiritual sister who’s faith and loyalty to Jehovah was steadfast; a trusted, helpful and dependable coworker.

Tammy’s love of animals and nature, her smile and laugh, and genuine concern for everyone she loved will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.

Tammy is survived by her husband, Roger Schnee; (step) daughters Leanna Nichols, Jennifer Peeples, Shelly Scheithauer, Kelly Cozmanciuc, and Angela Yates; parents, James Leber (Milan) and Alice Leber (Norwalk); siblings, Doreen Leber, Brenda Leber, Jim Leber, Michael Leber, Manda Nebergall, Jeremiah Leber, and Rachel Bloomer; her 14 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.


Memorial services for Tammy will be arranged and announced at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E Main Street, Norwalk.

Our heartfelt condolences to all of Tammy's Family. Tammy was truly a timeless beauty with so much compassion. She was our children's first baby-sitter (T.J. and Julie). They too are saddend to learn of Tammy's passing.
