From a Peace Corps manual for teaching math in Tanzania:

In the words of Marilyn Bick,
TEACHING MATHEMATICS IS FUN
ENJOY TEACHING
INVOLVE THE STUDENTS
BE CRAZY SOME DAYS
LEARNING WILL HAPPEN
NUMBERS ARE TO BE PLAYED WITH DAILY!

I taught with Marylin at the University of Iringa and looked her up after reading the manual. Marilyn was legendary in Tanzania.

Marilyn was our facilitator for 4 years when I was in ministry formation. Those weekends were so special and I gained a friend. That was over 15 years ago. Till we meet again. RIP

I am sadden by the lost of Marilyn. We were co-Sisters in the Sisters of Notre Dame. We used to make home made candies in our health care center in the evenings. We walked together, prayed together and supported each other. She is a great lady and I ask her to watch over her family and the Sisters of Notre Dame. Blessings and may she rest in the peaceful arms of Jesus.

Marilyn cared for our son for a year after I returned back to work. She was a wonderful caregiver to Sam. She read books to him, took him on outings and made everyday fun for him. I am grateful that we had Marilyn to help us out that year. She truly loved children. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family.

Marilyn was a wonderful friend. I remember us getting together to talk about the bruises she took from a foster child. She was loyal and put herself last. Rest In Peace Beautiful Lady.

I met Marilyn when she asked if some of her foster children could join my 4-H Club. She assisted the club as an advisor and was a wonderful role model and teacher to all the children she came in contact with. She was an advocate for children and adults and I was sad, but admired her calling, when she left our club to volunteer with the Peace Corp. I want to express my sympathy to her family on the loss of Marilyn.
