Clarence Stanley

Clarence A Stanley, age 65, of Berlin Heights, passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at his residence, after a courageous fight with lung cancer, surrounded by his family.
He was born May 16, 1955 in Mansfield and was a lifelong resident of Berlin Heights. Many people knew and loved him because of his many hobbies, including guns, which occupied his Sundays with “gun church”, fast cars and his mechanic skills. Wednesday’s were spent at “Fun Nights” at Norwalk Race Track; he was also known as the “man with the fast blue truck”; along with his Sunday-funday at Gihuly’s Pub in Berlin Heights. He retired from Ford Motor Company, Lorain in 2004 after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his children, Michele (John) Coleff of North Port, FL, Teresa (Steven) Stygles of Toledo, Cheryl Stanley of Berlin Heights, and Roger (Amanda) Stanley of Berlin Heights; eight grandchildren, , Chandler Sorrell, Mackenzie Allgauer, Trenton Knittel, Aaliyah and Justice Daniels, Erica Johnson, Ahren and Maiya Stanley; three great-grandchildren, Maddilyn, Jersey and Blaze Sorrell; numerous nieces and nephews; siblings, Sharon Chicotel of Norwalk and Darryl Stanley of Huron.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 41 years, Marcia (Kastor) Stanley; his parents, Clarence Sr. and Phyllis (Freeman) Stanley; a sister, Carol “Jeannie” Bowers of Jeffersonville, IN.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
