Mary M (Pauly) Yost, 81, died December 25, 2020 at Norwalk Memorial Home. Born January 8, 1939 in Shelby, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Victor and Helen (Dick) Pauly and lived most of her life in Bucyrus area.

A 1957 graduate of New Washington High School, Mary was employed as the school secretary of Holy Trinity School in Bucyrus for more than 25 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church where she was an organist for many years.

Surviving are her son, Stephen of Incline Village, Nevada; daughter, Vicki (Christopher) Brown of Norwalk; grandchildren, Stephanie and Mark Yost of Mentor, Ohio and Ally Brown of Norwalk; sister Patricia Snay of New Washington; sister-in law, Mary Ellen Pauly of Galion, Ohio; and her many nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Pauly, Ruth Sheibley, James Pauly and Carolyn Pauly; her brothers-in-law, Paul Sheibley and Hubert Snay; as well as her sister-in-law, Catherine Pauly.

Her grieved family and friends are grateful and not in the least surprised that Mary wrote the above obituary over ten years ago when her journey with Alzheimer’s disease had already begun. We will hold precious memories of her that she would have thought too prideful to include here. We are all the more thankful that she is finally at peace with Our Lord. Her family is also indebted to the staff at Norwalk Memorial Home for their thoughtful care over the last four years.

Mary’s funeral Mass will be held will be at St Bernard Parish on Wednesday, December 30 at 11:00 am. Facemasks must be worn to enter the church and social distancing will be practiced inside,
