Edward Elliott

Edward M Elliott, age 84, of Norwalk, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020, after a brief illness.
He was born July 3, 1936, to the late Clifford and Wilda (Hutchinson) Elliott in New Athens, Ohio. He was a heavy equipment operator and was a sixty-year member of Local 18. He was a member of Saint Anthony’s Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. He was loving referred to as “Fast Eddie” by his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed WWII history and airplanes. He was a member of the Amherst Lions Club and was a founding member of Meadowlarks motorcycle club. As a young man, he participated in motorcycle races and flying. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends, attending family sporting events, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Patricia (Fry) Elliott; children, Dawn Elliott of Amherst, Jane (Doug) Heberling of Amherst; grandchildren, Hannah Heberling, Daniel Heberling, Amanda, and Scott Ferris; siblings, Nancy Dunlap of Buckeye, AZ, Clifford (Janey) Elliott of Amherst and Jeanne (Tony) Duerring of Kennewick, WA. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gwen Kilgore; son, Edward L. Eliott; brother, Dennis Elliott, and a sister in infancy.
A funeral mass will be held Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Church, 145 S. Center Street, Milan. Private interment will be held at later date at St. Anthony’s Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
