Evelynne B. Logan

Evelynne Barbara Logan, 87, of Debary, Fla. died Sunday, Dec. 20, 2020 at the Halifax Health Hospice Care Center in Ormond Beach, Fla.
She was born April 28, 1933 in Clyde, daughter of Karl L. and Maye A. (Heath) Kline. She was a lifelong resident of Ohio, living mostly in Norwalk, until moving in July 2014 to the Central Florida area where her children reside.
Evelynne graduated in 1951 from York High School and in 1953 Tiffin University, where she took secretarial/business classes. On June 22, 1953, she married Gene L. Logan, also of Clyde. He preceded her in death on June 24, 2009 after 56 years of marriage.
She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda G. Logan, of Norwalk, on Oct. 20, 2003, as well as an infant son, Stephen Logan, who was only a month old.
She is survived by her children, Susan Logan of Sanford, Fla., Vivienne Logan of Sanford, Fla., Melody Logan (James Farr) of Land O Lakes, Fla., and Mark (Mayumi) Logan of Auburndale, Fla.; five grandchildren, Steven Kirk, Robert Kirk, Lauren Webber, Blair Logan, Mark Logan, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren.
Evelynne was the youngest of eight children and was preceded in death by her four brothers, John, Karl, James (Jim), and Robert (Bob) Kline; and her three sisters, Anna Rose Ulmer, Mary (Marie) Reynolds, and Lucy KIine.
She spent much of her time cooking, baking, freezing and canning vegetables/fruits from their large garden. Evelynne was very proud of her beautiful collection of antique dishes inherited from her mother/grandmother with many of them being hand painted.
She enjoyed playing Scrabble, listening to big band music and was an avid reader. She was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended meetings in the Norwalk and Debary, Fla. congregations. Psalm 23 was one of her favorite Bible passages.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3, 2021 from 3:00 – 5:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home at 314 E. Main St., Norwalk. A short service will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home and burial will immediately follow at York Chapel Cemetery in York Township, Bellevue.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, 235 Booth Road, Ormond Beach Fla 32174 or to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central & Northern Florida (granting wishes to terminally ill children).
