Ellsworth John Kemmings

Ellsworth John Kemming Jr “Pappy”, age 81, of Wakeman, passed away Thursday, December 17, 2020, at his home.
He was born August 30, 1939, to the late Ellsworth and Virginia Kemming. He was a member of the Operating Engineers for over fifty years and worked for Price Construction in Norwalk, Cleveland Trinidad Paving in Cleveland, Erie Blacktop in Sandusky, and Precision Paving in Milan. He was an active member of St. Johns United Church of Christ in South Amherst. He loved boating and fishing and HO trains. He enjoyed playing games on the computer. He enjoyed yard work and his tractor.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Betty J. Kemming of Wakeman: children, Rebecca (Mark) Butler of Wellington; granddaughter, Meghan Butler of Mentor; siblings, Edward (Connie) Kemming of Norwalk, Wilma Kemming of Norwalk, Barbara (Gary) Barnett of Norwalk, Grace (Rick) Reed of Bailey, CO, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Robert Kemming.
Private services will be held with Chaplain Melvin Sayler and Reverend Paul Eaton officiating with interment at Wakeman Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk Ohio.
