Custer L. Crase

Custer Lee Crase, age 75, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, in Cleveland, Ohio.

He was born December 30, 1944, to the late Kiser and Edith Crase in Salyersville, Kentucky. He worked at CVG for forty years and worked part-time for Firelands Chevy. He loved to hunt, bowl, and golf. He enjoyed socializing at Bob Evans and had never met a stranger. He loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Patricia (Shell) Crase, children, Robert L. (Patricia) Crase, Amy C. Crase; stepchildren, Kara (Robert) Scheon, Stacey (Patrick) Stacklin, Jenny (Eric) Woodward, and Jodi (Kevin) Brown; siblings, Mary (Clyde) Oney, Cora (George) Stoddard, Betsy (Keith) Sheppard. Also survived by grandchildren, Janet Kuhlman, Bridget (Tony) Riffle, Heather (Leon) Hiser, Jennifer (Nick) Lewis, Jacob, Hannah, and Joe Schoen, Mark and Katherine Schoen, and Nicole and Jeff Rollins Victoria, Nathaniel, Rachael, Patrick, Luke, Joshua, Sarah, and Nicholas Stacklin, Liam and Sophie Woodward; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Kiser Crase, and one great-
grandchild; Kaitlin Wright.

Friends may call Wednesday, December 9, 2020, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral mass will be held Thursday, December 10, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary The Redeemer Church, 38 West League Street, Norwalk. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or St. Mary The Redeemer Church.

Dear Mrs. Crase and family :
Im heart broken to hear of his passing. I just talked to him a few weeks ago to check in on him not knowing that would be my last time talking with him. Im glad I got to talk with him one more time . Truely a great man always had a kind word for all of us and we could always count on him. Rest easy my friend God Bless !!

Jim & I were so shocked to hear that Custer had died. We are so sorry for the pain & sorrow you are deealing with at this time.
One of God's arrangements is that after Winter there shall come beautiful Spring days. It happens every year and it happens in every life. Custer is now enjoying his beautiful Spring days.
