Marian Ungerer

Marian F (Prentice) Ungerer, age 98, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020.
She was born October 10, 1922 in Cleveland to the late William and Nina (MacRae) Prentice and was a 1940 graduate of Wooster High School. She was a longtime member of St. Peter Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was an avid cook and enjoyed home decorating, cross word puzzles, reading and her computer.
She is survived by her children, William (Teresa) Ungerer of LeClaire, IA, James (Teri) Ungerer of Concord, NC, Marilyn Frederick of Hudson, FL, Roger (Cherie) Ungerer of Norwalk, Rebecca (Kevin) Ott of New London, Michael (Debra) Ungerer and Susanne (John) Bahleda, both of Norwalk; 22 grandchildren and numerous, great and great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lewis E. Ungerer in 2011; her daughter, Barbara Drury; grandchild, Teddy Chalupka; and a sister in infancy.
A private family service will be held with Pastor Ann Marshall officiating and burial at Woodlawn Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
