Nicholas E. Hager

Nicholas Edward Hager, age 26, of Norwalk, passed away Friday evening, October 30, 2020 at his residence unexpectedly.
He was born November 4, 1993 in Sandusky and was a 2012 graduate of Norwalk High School, where he lettered in Football. Since he was a little boy he dreamt of being a US Marine. He then proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 2012 until 2015, while stationed in Kingsbay, GA with Marine Security Forces. Then worked in Sandusky as a security officer at NASA Plum Brook. He was an avid Notre Dame fan and was a fervent Patriot who loved serving his country and helping others, and always putting others before himself.
He is survived by his parents, James (Vicki) Hager and Lisa (Witter) Hager; siblings, Ryan (Cassidy Pfeiffer) Hager and their daughter Riley Hager, Jacob Hager serving in the US Air Force, Kyle Nickoli and Layla Byington; girlfriend, Laura Allen; paternal grandmother, Mary Hager; maternal grandparents, David and Ruth Witter and Norm and Lois Saxton; many aunts, uncles. cousins and many many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandpa, Gary Hager.
Friends may call on Thursday, November 5, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main St, Huron with Rev. Jeff McBeth officiating. Military honors will follow. Private interment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the family for a fund to be established for his niece and sister.
