Roger Bentley Smith

Roger D Bentley Smith, age 53, of Norwalk, passed away Friday evening, September 18, 2020 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born December 26, 1966 in Port Clinton, OH and was a graduate of Norwalk High School and EHOVE School of Practical Nursing. He was a licensed practical nurse for over 10 years with Ohioians Home Health. He was known to make people laugh and make them smile. He lit up a room whenever he entered and enjoyed animals.
He is survived by his parents, Sue and Gary Smith of Monroeville; life companion, David Pifer of Norwalk; brothers, Jamie (Gretchen) Pounds of IN, Michael (Dee) Pounds of Norwalk and Gary (Gerri) Smith of Pickerington, OH; sisters, Renee (Doug) Miller of Willow Wood, OH and Rose (John) Radank of Hornsfelt, Germany; and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his aunts, Kate Scott and Peggy Boyd.
Friends may call on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Attendees will be asked to wear a mask and follow certain safety and social distancing guidelines. A graveside service will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Woodlawn Cemetery.
