Larry D. Platte

Larry D Platte, age 60, of Norwalk passed away July 22, 2020 following a brief illness.

Larry was born at Memorial Hospital in Sandusky, Ohio to the late Orville and Helen Platte. He was a truck driver and drove for South Shore Transportation for many years. Larry enjoyed watching football, especially the Ohio State Buckeyes. He also loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. You could always find Larry tending to his yard on Saturday mornings.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 41 years, Tina (DeNoewer) Platte; his three children, David, Melissa, and Samantha. His grandchildren, Lila, Emmett, Mallory, Zoe, Menphis, and Piper. Larry also leaves behind four brothers, Peter Platte, James Platte, Orville Jr., (Paula) Platte, and Dennis (Jeri) Platte; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Marian Houseman.

Friends may call Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main street, Norwalk, OH, 44857. Attendees will be required to follow certain safety and social distancing guidelines. Attendees should also be prepared for the possibility of waiting outside the funeral home as a limited number of general public will be allowed in at one time.

So sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Larry. I remember him always being a good guy. I seen him, about 15 yrs ago and was the same as he was in school. A big smile and laugh! RIP Larry.
