Evelyn Frey

Evelyn M Frey, 84, of Norwalk, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 13, 2020, at Fisher Titus Medical Center.

She was born October 17, 1936, in Bellaire, Ohio, daughter of the late Filbert and Blanche Tiber Regoli.

Evelyn was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother of 13. She was retired from the Norwalk City Schools and K-Mart. Evelyn had volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the American Cancer Society. She had belonged to St. Mary’s Church and the Norwalk Eagles Club.

Upon graduation in 1954, from Bellaire High School, Evelyn moved to Norwalk where she married Charles Frey on July 13, 1957, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Norwalk.

She made her home with her eldest daughter, Amy and Chris Mohr, where she loved having coffee and playing cards.

She is survived by four daughters, Amy (Chris) Mohr, Christina (Roy) Norton, Patricia (Daniel) Brooks, and Carrie (John) Light. One sister, Gloria Vogt of Columbus, 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2005; daughter, Elizabeth “Betsy” Frey in 2012; parents, Filbert and Blanche Regoli; siblings, Eugene, Felice, Junior, Sylvan and Eleanor; great grandbaby, Gracie Neel in 2020 and son-in-law Richard Rang in 1984.

At Evelyn’s request, the family plans to host private services with burial at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends are encouraged to honor her memory in their own way.

Aunt Evelyn Frey was a kind and beautiful lady in all areas of her life. Her generosity and compassion was endless and zest for life, especially her love for family and friends was unmatched. She will be greatly missed. My deepest condolences to her children and grandchildren.
