Reta E (Stevanus) Pigman, age 96, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, April 10, 2020 at Gaymont Nursing Center.

She was born October 26, 1923 in Meyersdale, PA to the late Sherman and Martha (Maust) Stevanus. She worked at the K & H Drug Store in downtown Norwalk, and was co-owner of the former Royal Motel in Norwalk. She attended the Norwalk First United Methodist Church and was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, quilting, traveling, shopping for antiques, and loved animals, attending craft shows and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

She is survived by her husband, Oren Pigman of Norwalk; sons, Gordon D. (Nancy) Chipukites and Mark S. (Ruth) Pigman; daughter, Connie J. (Edward) Lewis; grandchildren, Benjamin (Kim) Pigman, Derek (Lindsay) Pigman, Tyler (Alysia) Pigman, Jennifer (Dr. Kenneth) Koblan; step-grandchildren, Ken Lewis, Tim Lewis, Kelly (Heath) Critchett; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Pigman, Natalie Pigman, Braydon Dove, Dylan Pigman, Anna Pigman, Gianna Pigman, Chase Benson and Rachel Benson; step-great-grandchildren, Katie Critchett and Riley Critchett; also survived by her sister, Betty (the late Virgil) Howard; and many nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by John Chipukites; sister, Patricia (Donald) Westbrook; and brother, Twaine “Bud” “Shorty” D. Stevanus and wife, Margie.

Private burial will be held Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery in Norwalk. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
