Jeremy Chad Jackson, age 35, formally of Collins, now residing in Converse, TX passed away November 28, 2019 in Portageville, MO.

Born March 3, 1984 in Sandusky, he was a 2003 graduate of Western Reserve High School. A veteran of the US Army, Jeremy served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Once home, Jeremy drove semi, most recently for Gomez Trucking.

He was an avid Steelers fan, who loved being in his garage woodworking and cutting designs out of metal. A jokester that loved to make people smile. He has been his described by his Military Family with words such as: loving father, honorable, funny, compassionate, capable, steadfast, hardworking, big brother, selfless, teacher and loyal. Jeremy was one of those men that never met a stranger, he worried more for others than himself. He had a heart of gold that will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Tracey (Hartig) whom he married February 29, 2016 (and her sons) of TX; his children Trevor, Lexxus, Kaycee and their mother Brandy (Miller) Jackson all of Ky; parents William (Tonda) Jackson of Norwalk & Christine (Danny) Thielen of Toledo; His brother William (Stephanie) Jackson Jr of Bowling Green, KY & Sister Angela (Matt) Brown of Toledo; Grandmothers, Virginia Bush & Virginia Jackson both of Norwalk.

He was preceded in death by Grandfathers, Milford Jackson May 11, 2008 and Richard Bush Sr. (U.S. Army) August 7, 2013; uncle, Richard Bush Jr. (U.S. Army) September 1, 2019.

Friends may call on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 9:00 - 10:30 A.M. at Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Graveside service with Military Honors to follow at 1:00 pm at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road Seville, OH.

Family and friends are invited to the celebration of life at VFW immediately following graveside services from 2:30 - 5:00 p.m. at the Firelands VFW Post 2743 140 Milan Ave. Norwalk. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be to the “Non-profit Veteran Suicide Organizations” in Jeremy’s name.
