David W. Lucal

David W Lucal passed away in his home on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 65.

Son of Henry “Hank” and Mary (Martin) Lucal, David was born September 10, 1954 in Sandusky. He attended school at Western Reserve in Wakeman, Ohio.

He was employed at Ford in Lorain, where he retired in 1993. David had a passion in landscaping and helped many with their lawns in the mobile park, where he resided with his loving wife. David was a member of the Freemasons and became Worshipful Master in 2011, where he was very proud of that accomplishment. He loved fishing, woodworking, and just being outdoors. He collected guitars and watches. He treasured family and loved anyone he came in contact with. He had a heart of gold.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Valerie J. (Kastor) Lucal; son, Shawn (Carol) Lucal of Northwood; daughter, Angela (Randy) Gardner of Norwalk; grandchildren, Kaylee Gardner, Austin Gardner, Addison Gardner, Braylon Chambliss, and Sawyer Lucal; sister, Anna (Richard) Weisenberger of Norwalk; brothers, Richard (Donna) Lucal of West Chester and Donald Lucal of Willard; sister-in-law, Deborah Lucal; nieces and nephews.

David is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Lucal.

Visitation will be held at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Friday, November 22, 2019. A service will be held Saturday, 11:00 AM, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Collins Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Heartland Hospice, 907 W. State St. A, Fremont, Ohio, 43420. A special thank you to his amazing nurses Beth and Maria for taking such great care of him during his hospice experience. Also, thank you to all of the others that aided in his care.
