John Steiniger

John L Steiniger, age 74, of Norwalk, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his residence.

He was born November 2, 1944 in Queens, NY to the late Walter and Olga Francis (Meleski) Steiniger. He was a graduate of Poly Tech College in New York and attended the University of Pittsburgh. He began his career as a Chemical Engineer in New Jersey, later moving to Iran, where he met and married his wife, Stella in 1974. They moved then to Medina, Westlake and settled in Norwalk in 1997. He retired in 2016 from a Mitsubishi owned company. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed collecting stamps and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Stella (Haddad) Steiniger of Norwalk; and son, Stephen Steiniger of Norwalk.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery and a reception in the Church gathering space.

Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
