Dollie Mildred Ellis

Dollie Mildred Ellis, age 93, of Norwalk, Ohio passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, at her home.

 

She was born on July 14, 1932, in Sovereign, West Virginia. Dollie grew up in a huge family and enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She was a member of Deliverance Tabernacle in New London, Ohio. She loved going to church and singing to worship the Lord. She also loved to crochet and make many gifts for all her loved ones. You could often find Dollie working outside, especially in her flowers, cooking, or working in the garden.

 

Dollie is survived by 6 children, Dannie (Mary) Ellis of East Palestine, James (Marilyn) Ellis of Norwalk, Charlene (Chuck) Walker of Bruno, West Virginia, Tim (Kim) Ellis of Crestline, Sherri (George) Lewis of Willard, Samuel (Amanda) Ellis of Cuyahoga Falls; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; three siblings, David (Janice) Mullins of Tipp City, Glennie Hatfield of Monroeville, Margaret Christian of Radcliff. 

 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Leo Ellis; parents, Milton and Lessie (Purdue) Mullins; siblings, Odell Mullins, Madgie Mullins Katheryn Quesinberry, Madeline Houdasheldt, Silas Mullins, Paul Mullins, Nellie Coleman, Maxie Knox, Lillie Ellis, and Joseph Mullins.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at 11:30 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park in Huron.

A reception to follow approximately 1:00 P.M. in Norwalk at 16 W. Main Street Hall.

Dollie was a good friend. She and Leo were like family to us. We loved the visits over the years with all you kids. She will be missed. We love you all.

The Ellis and Mullins family have been friends of our family for generations. I remember Leo and Dollie taking us in their station wagon to Wayside Temple to hear Shelby Gilliam preach. Lots of good memories! Good people. I know she will be missed. Love you all
