Sandra K. "Sandy" Reineck

Sandra K “Sandy” Reineck, age 75, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully Friday, May 16, 2025, at her residence.
She was born April 12, 1950, in East Rainelle, WV to the late James and Faye (Walton) Holcomb. She graduated from Sandusky High School in 1968 and then served as a Congressional Aid in Washington DC after graduation. She worked at the Huron County Unemployment office, Huron City Police Department and then retired after many years as a dedicated secretary at Norwalk Middle School. She enjoyed hiking, walking the Lake Erie beaches, visiting the Marblehead Lighthouse, and vacationing with her family at Anna Maria Island, FL. She was an avid follower of the TV Show, Survivor and was a former member of the Norwalk Eagles Aerie #711 auxiliary. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending their activities and was a wonderful grandmother to them all. She will be missed.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jim “Fuzzy” Reineck; children, Jaime (Mike) Peiples of Norwalk and David (Trina) Reineck of Norwalk; grandchildren, Maya, Griffin, Lance Corporal Tyson Reineck, Daisy and Grayson; and her brother, James Holcomb of Sandusky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Holcomb; grandson, Marshal Peiples; sister-in-law, Diane Holcomb; and a niece, Kellie.
Visitation for family and friends will be held Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
