Juana Ornelas

Juana Ornelas, age 57, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

She was born November 25, 1967, in Jalisco, Mexico and then moved to California, Ashland, Ohio and settled in Norwalk where she enjoyed working at the original Casa Fiesta and Corso’s Flowers in Sandusky. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and served the Hispanic community as a Alter Server coordinator and Light of Christ. She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, crossword puzzles, cooking and watching her daily soap operas.

She is survived by her daughters, Vanesa, Azucena, and Esmeralda, all of Norwalk and their father Salvador Ornelas; siblings, Ramiro Bravo, Elisa Bravo, Martha Bravo, Maria de Jesus Bravo, Rosa Bravo, Maria Guadalupe Bravo, and Maria de Lourdes Bravo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesus Bravo and Maria Guadalupe (Rivera) Bravo; and siblings, Nicolas and Maria Guadalupe.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025, from 3:00 – 6:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be held Monday, March 3, 2025, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk with Fr. Valerian Larawa officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
