Jack E. Zimmerman

Jack Elroy Zimmerman, age 70, of Norwalk, passed away Monday evening, July 5, 2021 at Gaymont Nursing Center.

He was born June 25, 1951 in Sandusky to the late Bert and Evelyn (Chaffee) Zimmerman. He attended Huron High School, worked at Sandusky Packaging and 30 years ay Boxboard Packaging. He enjoyed spending time with his family, working, mowing, helping around the house, sitting at the beach and enjoying the lake, playing music and playing the drums.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Earldine “Dee” Zimmerman of Norwalk; children, Regina Zimmerman of Norwalk, Jason (Tara) Zimmerman of Bellevue, Keith (Amy) Zimmerman of Norwalk, Jesse Zimmerman of Medina, Jason Welch and Zachary Wallace of Norwalk, Stacy (Bill) Wiswell of Bellevue, Heather (Jeff) Barnes of Elyria, Renee (Don) Hoffman of Sandusky and Terry (Robert) McKinney of Mansfield; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Burt Zimmerman of Norwalk and Janet Barnett of Greenwich; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Ron and Judy Zimmerman.

A celebration of life gathering will be held Sunday, July 11, 2021 from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk, where a funeral service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Private interment will be held at a later date.
