Gerald "Jerry" Mahl

Gerald “Jerry” E Mahl, age 78, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born January 10, 1943 in Norwalk to the late Alphonse and Lucille (Fries) Mahl. He was a graduate of Western Reserve High School and The Ohio State University. He retired with over 30 years of teaching at EHOVE Career Center. He enjoyed gardening, farming, watching his children and grandchildren play sports, and collecting coins.
He is survived by his wife, Jane M. (Heinlen) Mahl; children, Michelle (Jim) Rennert, Chris Riley, Vicky Mahl, Steve Mahl and Tim (Angie) Mahl; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; brother, Richard (Elaine) Mahl; sister, Janet (David) Hostetler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Private interment will be held at a later date at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery.
