Mary Lou Davis

Mary Lou Davis, 78, of Norwalk, passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021, after a lengthy illness.

Mary Lou was born January 14, 1943, in Lando Mines, WV, and moved to the area with her family when she was 10. She graduated with honors from the Berlin-Milan schools. Mary Lou turned down several scholarships saying her goal was to raise a family. She married her husband, Robert Davis Sr., in 1967 and moved to Norwalk shortly afterward. Mary Lou worked at Fanny Farmer and R&L Transfer prior to her retirement.

Mary Lou enjoyed working in her flower gardens and completing crossword puzzles. She very much enjoyed helping her three grandsons with their homework when they were younger and watching them grow up. She looked forward to summers on the deck with her family and watching her favorite TV shows. She was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

Mary Lou is survived by her son, Robert (Deloris) Davis Jr., of Norwalk and daughter, Wendy Davis, of Norwalk; grandsons, Lance (Jackie) Davis, Owen Davis, and Vincent Davis, all of Norwalk; great-granddaughter, Kayla Davis; and brother Ernest (Donna) Canterbury Jr., of Battle Creek, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Davis Sr.; her parents, Ernest and Opal Canterbury Sr., and her brothers, Gerald Canterbury and Roger Canterbury.

Private services will be held, Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.

One of the Canterbury cousins that I grew up with when we went to Ohio. She had so many funny sayings and had a generous heart. Rest In Peace .

Well "Lucy" this is the final escape!! We sure had some good ones working together, the favorite one will always be watching the begging of the Norwalk Homecoming Parade from the bank!! I did our last Word Jumble (monkey business) Rest Easy, miss you!!
