Carl E. Camp

Carl Edward Camp, age 96, of Norwalk, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born November 22, 1929, in Sandusky to the late Leo M. and Florence P. (Ott) Camp. He was a 1949 graduate of St. Paul High School. He worked at the Levi Blue Jean Co., Norwalk Truck Line, Chapin and Chapin, A.J. Baltes and then Huron County Highway Department as a mechanic on heavy equipment. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and enjoyed bowling, fishing and traveling. He was a handyman and enjoyed attending grandchildren activities.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda (McLaughlin) Stutzman Camp; children, Diane (Paul) Hammersmith of Willard, Denny (Sheila) Camp of Norwalk, Lynn Taylor of Norwalk, Becky (Jeff) Brasseur of Fort Wayne, IN and Amy (Gary) Hensler of Piqua, OH; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Joan C. Camp; and siblings, Raymond Camp, Clarence Camp, Mary Louise Kerner, Leonard Camp and Leon Camp.

Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral Mass will be held 10:30 A.M. Friday, June 5, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church, 91 E. Main Street, Norwalk. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.
