Betty J (Witter) Griffith, age 91, of Norwalk, went to be with the Lord Sunday, December 01, 2019.

She was born August 12, 1928 in Norwalk to the late Darwin J. and Josephine (Thorley) Witter. She was a 1947 graduate of Norwalk High School and worked at the former Isaly’s Ice Cream, Philco’s and Thermostat. She enjoyed her Tuesday night ladies bowling league and was an avid Cleveland Indians Fan, including a fan of the Norwalk Truckers, Cleveland Browns and OSU Buckeyes. She was a past president and member of the Norwalk VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by her son, David (Toni) Griffith of Norwalk; daughters, Nancy Zimmerman of Sandusky, Judy (Brad) Evans of Sandusky and Virginia Baker of Norwalk; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; siblings, James (Betty) Witter of Norwalk and Irma (Bruce) Meadows of Galena; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie C. Griffith in 2005; son, Daniel C. Griffith; her siblings, Marilyn Lang and Lois Statzer.

Friends may call on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4:00 – 7:00 P.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. A funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Doug Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
