Bob Burras

Bob Burras, age 79, of Norwalk, passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born October 9, 1940 in Norwalk to the late Howard and Beatrice (Butts) Burras. He was a lifelong resident of Olena, whereas his family settled nearly 200 years ago. He was a certified GM and Chrysler technician and was the owner and operator of Burras Automotive for many years. He enjoyed retirement and wintered the last 27 years in Texas. He enjoyed camping and traveling, collecting and restoring antique cars and was a member of the Car Coddlers. He had fun riding his Segway and riding his Honda Goldwing. He enjoyed attending car shows and was a former member of the Mad River Rovers camping club.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Marge Burras of Olena; sons, Ron Burras and Larry (Cathy) Burras, both of Olena; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister in infancy.

Private services will be held at a later date and interment at Olena Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted by the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
