Raymond Weidinger Sr.

Raymond Thomas Weidinger Sr, age 84, of New London and formerly Norwalk, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 at The Laurels of New London.

He was born December 16, 1934 in Norwalk to his parents, Robert C. and Elizabeth R. Weidinger, and step-mother, Alice Rielly Weidinger. He served in the US Army in Korean from 1956 until 1958. He enjoyed playing Yahtzee and spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his sons, Raymond Weidinger Jr and Joseph Weidinger; brothers, Paul (Sharon) Weidinger and Mike Weidinger; sister, Mary Eslinger; and numerous nieces and nephews; and a sister-in-law, Francisca Weidinger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Hoey) Weidinger; brothers, Robert “Bob” Weidinger, Donald “Don” Weidinger and Richard “Dick” Weidinger; sister, Betty Finnen; and a sisters-in-law, Jackie Weidinger and Joan Weidinger.

A graveside service with military honors will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Paul Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
