What a gem Mrs. Grose was. Since the day I started playing Lefty Grove baseball with her son and fellow classmate Russell Dean, she welcomed me with open arms into her home and family. There was nothing she wouldn't do for me or any of the other kids who had the privilege of spending time at their home on Laylin Road. Then her and her loving husband ended up being GOOD friends with my parents and our families ending up spending many years together. I can't say enough good things about her, just that she was a SPECIAL person with a big heart. She will be sorely missed by ALL who knew her, especially me. The world would be a much better place if we had more people like her in it. RIP and God bless.
