Marjorie Day

Marjorie I Day, age 93, of Norwalk, passed away Sunday, February 17, 2019 at Twilight Gardens Home.

She was born June 17, 1925 in Norwalk to the late Clarence H. and Elizabeth K. (Fox) Day. She was a 1943 graduate of Norwalk High School and a 1947 graduate of Bowling Green State University. She was a 4th grade teacher for Sandusky School system and retire from Norwalk City Schools. She also worked in the records department at Sandusky Memorial Hospital in her earlier years. Great pleasure was derived from attendance at operas and symphonies. She was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in Norwalk and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Elizabeth “Betty” Day in 2014.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, March 4, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk. The Rev. Margaret D’Anieri, pastor of St. Paul Episcopal Church, will officiate. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
