Gale Gilbert

Gale L Gilbert, age 71, of Berlin Heights, passed away Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Fisher-Titus Medical Center.

He was born August 3, 1946 in Sandusky to the late Gerald and Beryl (Gantz) Gilbert. His firm belief in God supported him in life and gave him hope in his eternal home. He was a member of the Milan Baptist Church. Gale enjoyed working on cars and driving his 1931 Dodge that he restored. He also enjoyed spending time with his family. Gale was blessed with a large family.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie (Knupke) Gilbert to whom he married October 31, 1966; five children, Alysha (Jim) Lesch, Leann (Mike) Malick, Holly (Scott) Adkins, Gerald (Cheryl) Gilbert and Greg (Maria) Gilbert; 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and sister, Jeri (Curtis) Jeffers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a nephew, Scott Jeffers.

Blessed by the promises of God and Jesus, today he is healed, whole and at peace walking the streets of gold.

At Gale’s request the family will have a private service and burial at Sand Hill Cemetery, Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the Milan Baptist Church for missions. Arrangements entrusted to the Evans Funeral Home, 314 E. Main Street, Norwalk.
